Tensile and compression tests of biomaterials (gels, spheroids, etc.)
It enables compression tests of microscale spheroids and gels, as well as tensile and compression tests of biological samples (tendons and cartilage) in liquid.
The "MicroTester" is capable of performing compression tests on spheroids, gels, microbeads, and other materials sized approximately 50 to 500 µm. The "UniVert" can conduct tensile and compression tests (with an optional three-point bending test) using a single unit. By adding an optional liquid measurement bath, it allows for measurements in liquid both vertically and horizontally. The "BioTester" is a dual-axis tensile testing machine. It secures samples with a tool resembling a rake and can pull in two directions while measuring the force. 【Achievements】 ■ Used in a paper by the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at Osaka University for measuring the contraction force of iPS cardiac tissue. ■ Used in a paper by the Department of Ophthalmology at Sapporo Medical University for measuring the hardness of spheroids. ■ Used for measuring the hardness of microbeads at a major bioreactor manufacturer. ■ Used for measuring the hardness of gels at a major pharmaceutical manufacturer. 【Features】 ■ The dedicated software allows for setting the time for loading, holding, and unloading. ■ The standard camera enables synchronization of data and images. ■ High-resolution cameras allow for strain mapping (optional for UniVert and BioTester). ■ Measurements can be conducted in liquid (optional for UniVert). *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or contact us.
